Exhibition News: Karen Heritage Textiles
From 17-31 December 2008, we will be exhibiting a selection of photographs on Karen textiles from Burma and Thailand, at the Borderline Gallery, Mae Sot, Thailand.

The exhibition focuses on historic textiles - works of art that were painstakingly hand-dyed and hand-woven during the 19th century, treasured by several family generations, and preserved in spite of half a century of conflict in the Karen hills.

Together with particularly fine samples of mid-19th century Karen cloth, images demonstrating the hand-dyeing process, and personal stories surrounding cloth, Karen Heritage Textiles reveals fascinating insights into textile production, and the lives of those living in the Karen hills of Burma and Thailand from the early 20th century.

A selection of prints and postcards from the exhibition is available to purchase in a range of sizes, either framed or unframed, which we can post securely to any location. For further information and prices, please contact us at mail@anonymousimages.com.

For further information about the exhibition and the reception on the evening of 17 December, please visit Borderline.
